As soon as I started speaking with Luke and Emilie Tan on our podcast interview, one word/feeling came instantly to mind: Passion. Luke and Emilie share their journeys in life and how they are using the fuel from their journeys to “inspire others to being champions of their fate” as Luke states in our podcast interview here:
Luke and Emilie were both accomplished in different high level athletic activities with Emilie being a very accomplished Short Track Speed Skater and Luke an accomplished body builder and they both discuss how they found each other in life and how Emilie was actually the first to “make the jump” to Plantbased and then Luke soon transitioning as well and how they actually found they could perform BETTER when they made this jump. So, it’s easy to see that they are very accomplished and very driven, however we also discussed their suggestions for people starting out and their best advice. Luke discusses that it depends on the people’s “dna” and make changes on their pace. It might mean going Plantbased all at once or it might mean phasing things out over time. Luke talks about some people simply changing out the milk in their daily latte to using almond milk instead or we start switching out some meat for meat replacements. It’s always great to “meet people where they’re at”.
